This website is an archive of the articles posted to the website of the Electronic Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers (ECEPT). Funded by the National Science Foundation, the Ecept website provided an online forum for communications between the various NSF funded CETP projects across the country. Funding for the CETP program has ended, but many of the websites of the various programs are still online (many of which can be found in the lists to the left, including our sister site, the Arizona Collaborative for Excellence in the Preparation of Teachers). In addition to the articles below, this archive also includes a resource page for the Reformed Teaching Observation Protocol (RTOP). An instrument developed and used by the ACEPT project to evaluate the teaching reforms implented in that program.
