Geology An Inquiry-Based Course in Earth Science for Pre-Service Elementary Teachers Geology 1033, (Earth's Physical Environment)

Mr. Joe Chandler
Master Teacher In Residence
University of Tulsa
Oklahoma CETP (O-TEC)

University Course taught by a master teacher in residence in the Oklahoma Collaborative. The course was developed for elementary education majors, but has been opened to all non-science degree seeking students. Performance based, evaluations and alternative assessment strategies are used while students are actively engaged in hands-on discovery learning on a daily basis.

Discussion will center on the flow of course information from concept building to concept synthesis.
